In 1995, our founder Jose Ma. Garza (dec.) started the company under the name “Jose Ma. Garza DBA Chema’s Trucking.” The company starts off with an owner-operator who works as a local driver for clients.
With the installment of our first mechanical shop, we can now offer our clients top of the line equipment and services.
Along with the installment, we hired a group of specialized mechanics that now provide regular maintenance to our trucks and trailers.
The company establishes itself as an LLC; creating Chema’s Trucking LLC. Since the establishment, Chema’s obtained the certificate of “Central and Southwest Minority Bussiness Council” issued by (NMSDC.)
In 2004, due to the growth of our company we switched locations to our current headquarters. As well, our founder, Jose Ma. Garza passed away, and under new leadership, the company operated as usual.
The most damaging year the company has faced. Both our administrative and maintenance roofs were torn apart. This led the company to overcome the adversity of a natural disaster and push to keep operating as usual.
The company saw a 40% increase in demand and fleet size.
The company becomes tech-friendly and seeks to become a pioneer in tech-safety systems. The company strives to provide the highest quality service by implementing the newest technologies for the industry.
The company rebrands and restructures itself to start off the new decade in pursuit of expanding the business as well as demonstrating its efforts to become more than just a small business.
